why UX design

I’ve always enjoyed problem-solving and invention, which was sparked by building robots and solving puzzles in video games as a child. As I grew older, I realized I wanted a career combining my passion for problem-solving, technology, and helping others. While working in hospitality, I realized that I wanted a more exciting career that would allow me to use my problem-solving skills to make a real difference in people’s lives. That’s when a friend introduced me to UX design, and I quickly realized it was the perfect fit. As a UX designer, I create intuitive and engaging digital products that positively impact people’s lives, which is why I love what I do.

where I want to be

My ultimate goal is to team up with an amazing group of designers in any of these industries: education, hospitality, health, fitness, gaming, and software companies. But, as a go-with-the-flow and adaptable person, if I believe in a company’s product, mission, and goals, no matter what industry they’re in, I’d be delighted to team up and assist in achieving great success for me and the company.

outside of work

When I’m not glued to my computer, you can find me exploring nature and enjoying outdoor activities like mountain biking, road cycling, swimming, running, and hiking. In the winter, I’m trying my hand at snowboarding (last time I finally connected my turns on blues!) I’m always up for a new adventure and learning new skills. I was lucky enough to win 2nd place in my age group in my very first triathlon race in July 2022! I believe that hard work and consistency always pay off!

my key work values

Curiosity

I am always eager to learn and grow as a person. I am constantly seeking new knowledge and ways to improve. I enjoy thinking creatively and exploring different perspectives.

Resiliency

I strive to be resilient at work by being adaptable and open to change. I also learn from feedback or criticism and stay focused on achieving the desired outcome.

Empathy

Having friends from diverse backgrounds helped me develop strong empathy skills that I utilize as a UX designer. Prioritizing user needs and insights, I create intuitive and engaging designs that cater to a wide range of users.

I would love to chat about UX stuff; let’s connect online or outdoors… maybe go for a bike ride!
